Biomimetic Dentistry

a more conservative approach to oral health with longevity in mind

Our Philosophy

A Biomimetic Approach to Long-term Oral Health

Many patients come to us after years of repeated dental work, looking for a more considered approach. That’s why we focus on biomimetic dentistry, conservative treatment, and long-term oral health; guided by principles that prioritise preservation, precision, and future wellbeing.

At its core, this approach is about:

Integrity

That means recommending only what’s necessary, being transparent about your options, and focusing on care that supports your long-term health – not short-term fixes.

 Preservation

We focus on retaining healthy tooth structure wherever possible, using techniques that protect and strengthen rather than remove and replace.

Longevity

Every decision is made with long-term oral health in mind; aiming to prevent problems and reduce the need for repeated or more invasive treatment over time.

Precision

From diagnosis through to treatment, we take a considered approach using modern techniques that allow for accuracy and minimally invasive outcomes.

Clarity

We take the time to explain what’s happening, why it matters, and what your options are; so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

These principles shape how we look after our patients; helping you make informed decisions, preserve what’s healthy, and feel confident in your care over time.

About Dr Ewan Jones

Dr Ewan Jones has been practising dentistry since 1989, and over that time he began to notice a pattern; many of the problems patients were facing weren’t simply caused by decay, but by years of repeated dental work that gradually weakened the tooth over time.

That observation changed the way he practises, shifting his focus toward what actually allows teeth to last; how they function, how they absorb stress, and how to preserve as much of the natural structure as possible to support long-term oral health.

At the core of this approach is a simple principle, to treat patients the way he would treat his own family; carefully, conservatively, and with longevity in mind rather than short-term fixes.

This thinking naturally led him to biomimetic dentistry, although for Dr Jones it has never been about following a trend or a label; it is simply a more considered approach to dentistry, using advanced techniques to preserve natural teeth and support long-term oral health.
